How does it work ?
The software encrypts and then sends copies of your files to the secure, UK data centres. Periodically it checks for changes and uploads any differences automatically, whilst keeping up to 30 previous versions of a file.
Why should i use it ?
So you never loose those cherished photo & video memories again, or that important document. It really can be a life-saver and its super simple to use. It takes just a second to protect but also the same to loose them.
Why not backup to usb ?
You can; and the 3, 2, 1 rule even recommends different media types. However… disks do fail. With backup as a service you needn’t worry about hardware. Redundancy is built-in.
Can i backup my phone or tablet ?
Yes! With any + plan or with the cloud drive bolted-on. Mobile and tablet backup utilises your cloud drive. Automatically backup & then free device storage, you have a cloud copy.
what are the limits ?
Is it safe ? Where is my data ?
Yes, in fact this is something we are hot on. End-to-End during transit and even in storage everything is scrambled, padded, mushed and then chopped into pieces. It’s then spread across UK data centres in an undecipherable way. More details here
What can't this software do ?
This isn’t a system state, bare bones or system recovery software. Microsoft & Apple have this built in. We believe the important bits are what people add, not what vendors mass deliver. Your killer artwork designs and family tree pdf have 10 X the value. We look after these more important digital nuggets.
